Akeewakee, known for its cutting-edge design and exacting quality standards, has produced ultra-clean burning candles from its studio outside New Orleans since 2003. Its creations have previously only been available at its signature boutique within Marshall Field’s flagship store on State Street in Chicago. Recently, Akeewakee has expanded its distribution through select high-end spa and specialty stores in the Chicago area. The company was founded by artist Akee Sukkajonwong, a native of Thailand. Akeewakee was born from Akee’s single-minded passion to create candles that refresh the soul, delight the senses and epitomize quality and beauty.
